You shouldn't strive to conform to fashion ideals, you should be the one to define them and with a 1950s coat like this one, the definition of style will be you. It is absolutely stunning with the sable mink fur. Wool and fully lined. Nice closed collar and hidden snap front. Side slash pockets. It is awesome to say the least.
